Seaside student Brock Crouch is on the U.S Snowboarding and Surfing teams.  He placed third American in the slopestyle at the US open.

On December 19, 2016, 9th  Grader Adam Gordon's Anza- Borrego star trails photo, "The Fight Seen Across the Universe", was posted on Space.com as Image of the Day and chosen as one of  the top 100 best space photos photos of 2016!

Camden Vodicka is a cyclist who in 2016 placed 2nd in the Overall ViVa Bahamas Invitational 15-18, 2nd in the Rosenda Ranch circuit Race 15-18, 3rd in the stage 2 San Dimas Race 15-18, 3rd in the California State time Trial 17-18, 5th in the California State Road Race and Criterium 17-18, and 5th in the 15th National Championship Time Trial 17-18. 

In February, Camden won 1st Stage 1 Valley of the Sun Stage Race Time Trial 17-18 and he is now competing in Georgia (03/3 to (03/09)
